Gearing Up for 2007 Northern Webster County Back to School “Splash” Bash

Put Children First, Inc. is pleased to announce that Buckhannon Wal-Mart has awarded a $500 community grant to us for the 2007 Northern Webster County Back to School Splash! After receiving a call from Wal-Mart announcing the grant the first week in August, our treasurer, Cindy Miller, traveled to Buckhannon on Monday, August 07 to receive this generous grant for our event. Thanks to this grant, we will be able to take advantage of the many excellent sales that happen between bashes.

As many of you know, we served nearly 200 students from Hacker Valley and Diana this year! We hope to grow even more next year. This type of event isn’t something that can be planned in a month or so, we have already begun working toward 2007’s event.

We want to extend our deepest appreciation to Wal-Mart for this grant!
